The Big Tassie Walk 2026 is complete, and what a month it’s been!
This October, nearly 430 Tasmanians walked over 25,000 km and raised more than $90,000 for migrants and refugees rebuilding their lives here. Many arrive not knowing anyone, unfamiliar with how things work, and some carry the lasting effects of displacement and trauma.
You walked through sunshine and rain, on city streets and bush tracks, with your workmates, your family, your dog, or on your own.
That means someone will get the counselling they need to heal. Someone will land their first job here. Someone will finally feel at home.
You can get us over the line
We’re just a few thousand dollars away from our $100,000 goal. Donations are open until 30 November, and every gift, big or small, helps someone take their next step towards a new life in Tasmania.
Every step counts. Everyone belongs. No one walks alone.
What’s next?
Prize winners will be announced on Friday 6 November, and we’ll share our final results later this month.
The Big Tassie Walk returns in October 2027. We can’t wait to walk with you again!
